Note: This feature is available with the Essential (or Plus) plan of TimeMoto Cloud. If you want to get the most out of your TimeMoto account, make sure to upgrade your plan to your needs!
1. Open the Schedules page
To access the Schedules page, go to your [Planning] and select the [Schedules] tab. Then, click [Add schedule] to get started.
2. Insert basic information
- First, enter the name of your new schedule.
- Colour and description are optional. Adding a colour helps differentiate this schedule in the calendar.
3. Select schedule type
Next, select your schedule type. You can choose from the following options:
- Fixed Time Schedule: Set a specific start and end time for each workday (e.g. 8:00 – 17:00).
- Fixed Duration Schedule: Set a fixed number of hours per workday (e.g. 8 hours per day).
- Flexible Hours Schedule: Set a fixed number of hours per week or month (e.g. 40 hours per week).
For more details, see our article on the different Schedule Types.
4. Select break type
Next, you can select predefined breaks. This is optional. If you would like to skip it, you may proceed directly to the next section. In that case, breaks must be clocked manually and will be handled according to the settings defined under Breaks and Absences.
You choose between two break types:
- Fixed Break Time: Predefine the start and end time of the break(s) (e.g. 12:00 – 13:00). You can also choose whether breaks should be deducted automatically and/or considered paid time.
- Conditionally Deducted Breaks: The system deducts a set amount of time once a specific number of hours has been worked without interruption. If multiple break options apply, only the one for the highest applicable working time is used (e.g. 30 minutes after 6 hours of work).
If you don't want to define any breaks, click [No Breaks]. In this case, the default settings from Breaks and Absences will apply.
For more details, see our article on the different Break Types.
5. Select rounding type
As a final step, you can enable rounding for clocking actions. This can be helpful if employees clock in slightly earlier or later than their scheduled start time (for example, to prepare for their shift).
You can choose between up to two rounding types:
- Interval Rounding: Rounds all clocking actions in fixed intervals, regardless of when they occur.
- Rounding at Fixed Times: Only available when using a Fixed Time Schedule. Rounds all clocking actions within a limited range of your schedule's defined start and end times.
As with break types, this setting is optional. If you don't want to apply rounding, click [No Rounding]. The default settings from General Information will apply.
For more details, see our article on the different Rounding Types.
5. Check the summary
You’re all set! You can now review your schedule using the summary on the right. If everything looks correct, click [Save] to add the schedule to your Cloud.
Once saved, the schedule will be ready to be assigned to your employees.
